"Lecture 2001 in Yokohama"
October 1 (Mon.) & 2 (Tue.)
"Watercolor painting and three-dimensional pressed flower picture"
by Kao Fong Hsi(Taiwanese pressed flower artist)

Students created a picture "flowers in a white & blue porcelain" that you can find in her book "Kao Fong Hsi Pressed Flower Art", page 28, published by Nihon Vogue Co., Ltd.
A porcelain is easy to draw even for those who have never drawn using a brush. In the afternoon she instructed how to seal the picture with three sheets of acryl glass so that it looks three-dimensional. Acryl glass gives perspective to flat pressed flowers. After the class she gave autographs and posed for photos. Her artistic techniques and pleasant personality were enjoyed by all.

From one of the students, Chikako Maruyama:
"I created a three-dimensional picture for the first time. I am impressed by the solid effect. As we have few chances to meet overseas pressed flower artists, the lecture was a good experience. The workshop through an interpreter progressed more smoothly than I had expected. I am totally satisfied with the lesson."
